the little nigger was some sort of drug addled thug. it was obviously apparent that this wasn’t a murder, but a pre-emptive strike before the kid fell into a life of crime and/or became a freeloader of the socialist welfare system we’ve set up for minorities.
yeah that zimmerman guy might go to jail but what the hell. let’s support the guy because hew as just being a vigilant citizen of his own neighborhood. i mean, have you seen the ballistic properties of an arizona iced tea?
if you don’t see how dangerous this line of logic is, please unfollow me.
(i originally posted this in the lion’s den of trolls known as the politico article here. thought i’d repost here as well.)
the only people that will agree with newt gingrich wouldn’t be able to even imagine the implications that lead to trayvon’s death. they sit on a throne of privilege where they suddenly believe that because non-black people are climbing up a few rungs in the social ladder that their place on such a throne is threatened.
they don’t believe in equality because equality to them is a zero sum game. if other types of people (race, creed, religion or economic status) achieves such a level of prosperity and acceptance then somehow they will be eradicated in a ball of cleansing fire.
that’s not how it works. they play the victim role because they feel threatened. much like trayvon seemed threatening by infringing on zimmerman’s neighborhood.
he obviously doesn’t belong here. look at him. he’s on some type of drugs and he’s lost because I swear this doesn’t look like something I’ve seen before.
zimmerman, although he was latino, operated on a level of white privilege he thought he was afforded by criminalizing someone’s race and wardrobe brought on by the thoughts of racist bigots who somehow have every individual thought out.
so newt has no place to say anything in the matter. he’s literally lived fat off of conjuring up fear and division between different types of people. I wouldn’t expect him to say anything but something dripping with contempt and pseudo posturing.
this is an american problem that has been happening for centuries. if you think that denying that racial discrimination and criminalization will go away when you close your eyes you’re not only deceiving yourself, you’re willfully ignorant.
understanding the problem would take years of open conversation and processing to get it and if that seems like too much work for you, you can happily get up from the table and sit behind the soundproof glass where black people only stayed in the fields, japanese were in interment camps, latinos stayed in whatever country they came from and LGBT people stayed in the closets like you always remembered and wanted them to be.
and get off with this race card nonsense. the only people that says that are racists that are too cowardly to say something more direct.
